Avatar Alerts

About this experiment:

We all know patients forget to take their medication. We also understand that taking medication isn’t always fun. So we asked, why not make an adherence program that accompanies the patient and makes taking medication entertaining and rewarding.

Avatar Alerts works with your mobile device to accompany you through your daily routine. Based on your logged or imported prescription data, your mobile device will alert you through a series of notifications, such as, text, email or phone. If you do not respond to these notifications, friends, family or even your social networks can be alerted to remind you.

Avatar Alerts makes all these alerts entertaining and rewarding by applying a score to the time taken to respond. In other words, the faster you respond the more points you earn. These points could be used to customize your racecar, purchase buildings for your city or any other brand or audience specific platform.

In addition to customizing your character or building your world, you can also remind or be reminded by other patients in an online community. Within this community you can also compare others’ progress and even compete against them.
